Dear RX8ers.
Our Mega-Gathering for 2009 will be held on 13DEC09 (Sunday). We have planned a fun filled day for us all. I’m sure for those who joined us in 2008, we would still be able to remember that we achieved the largest (for it’s time) a 51 RX8’s photoshoot and convoy.
For 2009, we want to make it even bigger. We said we’ll be ambitious, and that’s what we’re out to achieve. Let’s make 2009 Mega-Gathering the largest ever and we aim to achieve 100 RX8’s.
We plan to have the entire day covered by Video/ Photos and each member will be getting a CD after the event as a keepsake.
So to give you a sneak peek into what we would have in store on the day:
Itinery For the Day
1. Early morning – Meet up point (Sunway Pyramid)
2. Convoy – 100 cars to Photoshoot location (Putrajaya)
3. Photoshoot – Group and individual shots, models, magazine coverage,
4. Lunch – Buffet lunch in Shangri-La Putrajaya
5. Dyno Challenge – End the day with a Dyno challenge in Sunway (Optional)
All Costs for the day should be financed up-front by each member of a sum RM 150 as participation fees and will include goodie bags, the Event CD, Lunch. Additional pax for lunch at RM 50. The Dyno challenge is a separate charge of approximately RM 50.

The Dyno Challenge is optional and will be limited to the first 20 cars that register for Dyno Challenge. The price is RM 50 per car and JC Racing in Sunway will be hosting us this time round.
As you know JC Racing is a renowned tuner in Sunway and we would have the opportunity to fight it out on their dyno machine on the event day.
The Dyno Challenge will (subject to change) be broken into 4 categories. Each category there will be a require a minimum cars to be considered a participating category in this challenge.
1. 4AT (min 5 cars)
2. 6AT (min 5 cars)
2. 6MT (min 5 cars)
3. Force Induction – Turbo/ Supercharged (both 4AT/6AT/6MT) (min 3 cars as not many FI cars around)
There will be a prize for the highest Wheel Horse Power (WHP) recorded for each participating category of the day.
